Old Alex snaffled the last spot in next season’s Irish Hockey League as high-quality goals from Shirley McCay, Aisling Naughton and Sofie Macleod gave them a flattering 3-0 win over UCC at Garryduff on Saturday.
Exam commitments are foremost in the mind of UCC’s students right now but they have one more assignment on the pitch too in tomorrow’s Irish Hockey League wildcard playoff final against Old Alex (Garryduff, 2pm).
