The Munster Branch of the Irish Hockey Association (MBIHA) is now accepting nominations for its annual awards, with the hockey public encouraged to pick out who has impressed them over the past two seasons.
Pressure on volunteers mean the awards have not been held since December 2007, so nominations are being taken in 12 categories for both the 2007/08 and 2008/09 seasons for the awards, which will be held on Thursday May 14 at the Fred South Room in Garryduff at 7.30pm.
Nominations are accepted from all within the hockey community; to vote, please select your winners for both season in the following categories and email them to Finbarr Kelleher at finbarr(at)ireland(dot)com: Manager of the Year’ Coach of the Year; Development Coach of the Year; Umpire of the Year; Player of the Year (Male); Player of the Year (Female); Junior (U18) PLayer of the Year (Male); Junior (U18) Player of the Year (Female); Club of the Year; Volunteer of the Year, School of the Year; Special Merit.
